Biography

Dr. Habib Ullah Nawab belongs to Swat Valley and has a PhD in Sociology from the University of Peshawar. He is an assistant professor at the Sociology Department, University of Chitral. He has served as a lecturer in sociology at Govt. Post Graduate College Saidu Sharif Swat. In addition, he is the executive member of the Social Awareness Society (SAS) of the college. He supervised several students in their BS research thesis. Dr. Habib Nawab has also worked in NGOs and implemented different programs like Women Empowerment Initiative, Sustainable Youth Development, UNDP Peace and Development Programs, the notable NGOs he worked for includes, Environmental Protection Society, Literate Masses, Socio-Economic Advancement Society, Strengthening Participatory Organization, Paiman Alumni Trust, and Salik Development Foundation. Working in such organizations has given him extensive experience in the field of community mobilization, administration, project planning and management. He also holds degrees in education, computer science, and homoeopathy. His main research interests centre on political sociology, social change, peace and development.
